Sparkle on your Birthday!

I received this card from another fellow demonstrator, and I cannot find who created it!  I've taken the card out of the package and lost the information.  Needless to say, I placed my order to purchase the Birthday Blast bundle thanks to Latisha and the designer of this card.

There are not many parts to this card - but I just LOVE it.  I especially love the way she used the cutouts from the stars to create little bits of bling at the bottom of the card.

Cool Treats for Birthdays

Here's another card I created for swaps.  It uses the Cool Treats Bundle in the 2017 Occasions Catalog.

I started out with a sketch for this design, plus I KNEW I wanted to have a metal ice cream bowl and spoon!  Since I was designing this for a swap, I needed to make multiples.  I was dreading the number of times I needed to crank the Big Shot!

However, since these pieces are so small, you can get just about everything on the platform and only need a couple cranks per card!

Colors in the card are Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, and Silver Foil.

I also had to add some Wink of Stella.  One does want a hint of glitter!

Sequins are attached by adding some fine-tip glue to the card and then placing the sequins on top of the glue.

The mess of thread is from the Pool Party Satin Ribbon - threads pulled apart from the ribbon.

Anyone else have a craving for ice cream with chocolate on top?

Celebrate!

Here is one of the swaps I received from an awesome Stampin' Up! demonstrator friend, Latisha Dinkel.

Every year at the Stampin' Up! convention, Angela (my upline) and I have been hosting a Jammie Swap.  We give prizes for pajamas.  Latisha, her mom, and her daughter always have the cutest jammies and they coordinate!

Just one of the benefits of becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - all the awesome crafty friends you make from all over the world!  Interested in having more friends?  Click here to get started.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled post.....

I have to admit, I wasn't crazy about this stamp set and the coordinating edgelits.  But now?  I have to have them!

  • Paper used: Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Dapper Denim, Silver Glimmer Paper
  • Ink used: Crushed Curry, Dapper Denim
  • Tools used:  Big Shot, Stars Framelits

Houston, we fixed the problem! - Go for 2017 Sale-a-Bration!

The Stampin' Up! Site is FIXED!  Check out all the goodies here.

Have you heard of Sale-a-Bration?  No?  Well, it's the best time of the year!

For every $50 (before shipping and tax) you get a FREE Sale-a-Bration item.  And there are some SUPER awesome products to get for FREE.  Did I say FREE?  Sure did!

Here are some pics of projects using my three favorite Sale-a-Bration items.

I just LOVE these chickens!  Especially the one with the mop on top.  Check out the egg in the nest - just a wad of linen thread.  Super simple, but genius!  The stamp set is a Sale-a-Bration item you can choose for FREE with your $50 purchase.

I'm not sure why I love the paper, but I really do.  Maybe it's the colors?  Maybe the patterns?  Maybe the coordination with other products in the Occasions Catalog?  Maybe it's because I have an addiction to paper!  :)  This package of Designer Series Paper is a Sale-a-Bration item you can choose for FREE with your $50 purchase.

There are SO MANY possibilities with this paper pack.  It is completely black and white - you add the color.  Color images with markers.  Color with pencils.  Use Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen.  Use Watercolor Pencils and an aqua painter.   Use ink with your blender pens or aqua painter.  Ink up the sponge brayer and add large areas of color.  It is just AWESOME.  This package of Designer Series Paper is a Sale-a-Bration item you can choose for FREE with your $50 purchase.

What is your favorite Sale-a-Bration item?

2017 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Begins Today!

Yes!  Today is the day!  New catalogs = new products!  YAY!

Except.......

Stampin' Up! is experiencing some major technical difficulties.  Website down.  Phone lines not working.  Ordering system not working.  Unable to ship orders.  YIKES!  They have been working through the night to get everything back up and running.

In the meantime, check out the links on the side for an electronic version of the new catalogs.

I have swaps arriving today in the mail, so I will be posting starting tomorrow with some great ideas!
