Day 6 - Cruising

Day 6 we ported in Marseilles.  And woke up exhausted!  Talk about a whirlwind tour......

And, of course, another strike.  Busses could not get back, streets blocked, UGH!

But, we forged ahead and arrived in the heart of  Marseilles.

Then, we found a little French cafe and decided to indulge in a REAL French crepe!

Angela decided on an espresso, wine, and a crepe.  I stuck with the Coca-Cola Light (aka Diet Coke) and a crepe.

Back in the state room, my laundry arrived.  I love it!

To bide some time, I hung out on our balcony as the ship cruised out of port.  I saw these clouds and thought it was really weird looking.  Almost like there was an invisible force field on the sea.

And now, it's time for a selfie - or five!  We did some selfie lessons and we are good!  :)
Of course dessert needed a photo too!  So delicious!

And some stamping!  I just love this card.  It sums up the days we spent in France.  So many sailboats with beautiful sunshine.

Day 5 - Cruising

Day 5 we ported in Cannes - but had to take a little boat to shore.

We bonded with some new friends on this outing!  Meghan and Yvette were our traveling buddies for most of the tour.  We rode through Cannes and went on to Antibes and the Old Market.  I LOVE this area - so beautiful and such friendly people.  :)

And then we walked, and we walked, and we walked.  WHEW!  I got my steps in this cruise!

But the walk was worth it!  Breathtaking views, beaches, a sea breeze, and some sun!

At the market, Angela found a very awesome art piece.

Here we are with the artist.  It's an abstract sort of feel.  Absolutely beautiful and captures the trip in a nutshell.

We headed back and took in a show - Burn the Floor.  It was an amazing show with all sorts of different dances.  If you didn't see something entertaining, then your eyes were closed!

We finally enjoyed the sunset view AND have a photo to prove it!

And of course some stamping!  Just remember, I did not create these.  They are created by the achievers.  I'm sharing to inspire YOU just as I am inspired!  :)

Day 4 - Cruising

Day 4 was in Livorno / Pisa / or Florence.  We docked in Livorno and bussed into the town.  Lots of shops, markets, etc.

One of the shops displayed these mannequins.  Still wondering why the eyelash dropped below the eye on ALL of them.  Maybe it's a thing in Italy?

That afternoon we traveled to the Pitti Winery.  AMAZING!

Beautiful countryside, a family chapel, barrels of wine, olive oil produced (but we didn't experience that area), and a wonderful tasting.

The tasting - what can I say about the tasting!  Four different types of wine, food pairings, great company, and a slight breeze.

Amazing!  I'm also not a seasoned drinker at this point in my life.  Alcohol content in the wine is around 13% - the US is about 6%.  I drank four glasses of wine.  You would think I would be stumbling everywhere - but I didn't!  Not much of an effect at all!!

For more information on this winery, click here for their website.  You can use Google Translator if you do not read Italian.

And now, time for some stamping!

The photo quality is not fantastic, but these were photos taken from the general session.  Fox and Friends!  This project is super cute - little bookmarks that peek over the page.

Fox & Friends Class is coming up in August - check out the events tab for more information!

Day 3 Cruising

Day 3 found us in Rome!  I had almost 14,000 steps that day.  I thought my legs were going to fall off!

Before we departed, we found out that there was a rail strike.  Good thing our travel was by bus!  Originally, we were going to ride the train to Rome!

Then, Colosseum workers were striking.  So, no inside photos.  Such a mob of people!  Not many Romans - mostly tourists and those on strike.

Next stop was the Roman Forum!

These musicians were playing Canon in D by Pachelbel in front of the Forum.  It was amazing!

The video below is a little snippet of their music.  Just listen and don't mind my poor videographer skills!  :)

And now, the Trevi Fountain!

Again - sooooo many people!  We were warned about pick pockets in this area.  Unless it was other tourists or guides, I did not see any Romans in the area!  Such a beautiful and HUGE fountain!

Any trip to Italy is not complete without some pasta and some wine!

We dined al fresco just past the Pantheon at Scusate il Ritardo Caffe - which means "sorry for the delay."

Mouth-watering, homemade pasta (not the dried stuff we get in the US!), Italian wine and bread.  MWAH!

So relaxing watching the people stroll by while savoring our meal.

And now, time for some stamping!

This is one of the make-n-takes for the achievers.  So very pretty!
