Beautiful You

Today's card is using one of my favorite stamp sets. (How many favorites can I have?  I don't know - so many are so awesome!)  I'm so very happy this set carried over to the new catalog.

This card includes a little fussy cutting from the Eastern Palace Specialty Paper.  LOVE the look!  Does anyone else coordinate their umbrella with their skirt?  :)

Supplies:

• Stamp Set – Beautiful You (143004 wood or 143637 clear)
• Cardstock – Thick Whisper White (140272); Smoky Slate (131202); Tranquil Tide (144246); Whisper White (100730)
• Stamp Pads – Basic Black (140931)

Measurements: 

• Thick Whisper White:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
• Whisper White: 3" x 4"
• Smoky Slate: 4" x 5-1/4"
• Tranquil Tide: 3" x 4"
• Eastern Palace DSP: 1" x 4" (Dapper Denim star pattern);  scraps for skirt and umbrella (Dapper Denim and Tranquil Tide polka dot pattern) 

Instructions:

1. Add 1' x 4" strip of DSP to Smoky Slate layer about 1-1/2" from the bottom. 
2. Ink greeting in Basic Black and stamp in the bottom right corner.
3. Wrap ribbon around the bottom of the DSP to cover the seam, adhere to the back of the card with SNAIL
4. Ink girl with umbrella image in Basic Black and stamp on the layer of Whisper White.  Color the blouse with the Pacific Point Watercolor Pencil and Blender Pen.
5. Stamp umbrella and skirt onto the polka dot DSP pattern and fussy cut with scissors.  Add these pieces to the water colored image and crop with the largest oval Stitched Shape Framelit.
6. Crop the 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" oval from Tranquil Tide and layer behind the main image.  Add to card with dimensionals.
7. Add a few Metallic Enamel Shapes where shown and add layer to main card base.

Instructions:

          1.    Fold Lemon Lime Twist cardstock in half for card base.

          2.    Adhere strips of Tranquil Tide cardstock to Designer Paper and adhere to card.

          3.    Die cut medallion shape from Tranquil Tide cardstock and carefully trim away from edges. 

          4.    Stamp circle shape with Lemon Lime and sentiment with Tranquil Tide on scrap cardstock and punch with 2” circle punch.  Attach to medallion with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

          5.    Wrap ribbon around card front and tie in a knot to the right side.

          6.    Attach medallion with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Fun Fold Time!

Measurements:  

·         Thick Very Vanilla:               5 ½” x 11” scored at 1 ¼”, 4”, and 6 ¾”; ¾” x 11”, scrap

·         Dapper Denim:                    2 ¼” x 2 ¼”

·         Gold Foil Paper:                  scrap for punching

·         Designer Series Paper:        Gold/Denim stripe: 1” x 5 ¼”, Gold/Vanilla: 2 ½” x 5 ¼”, and

Denim/Vanilla: 4” x 5 ¼”

Instructions:

     1.    Accordion fold the scored piece of Thick Very Vanilla and crease well on the score lines with the bone folder.

     2.    Adhere the designer paper to the folded sections of the card.

     3.    Stamp the inside greeting in Dapper Denim ink.

     4.    On the scrap of vanilla, stamp “thank you” and the embellishment stamp in Dapper Denim ink.

     5.    Punch out the “thank you” with the 1” circle punch.

     6.    Using the Easter Medallions Thinlets Dies, cut out the 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” piece of Dapper Denim.  Use the bone folder to lift and curl the interior cut out petal areas.

     7.    With the 1 ¼” Circle punch, punch out a Gold Foil circle.

     8.    Adhere the gold circle to the Dapper Denim diecut with SNAIL adhesive.

     9.    Use a dimensional to adhere the “thank you” circle to the gold circle.

     10. Belly Band: Wrap the ¾” x 11” piece of cardstock somewhat loosely around the card (it should not be so tight that it can’t be easily removed), crease on the folds. Use a piece of Tear and Tape to adhere the ends of the belly band to one another. Slide it on to the card to keep the card closed.

     11. Use a dimensional to adhere the diecut to the belly band.

     12.  Write a note inside and give this card to a friend to brighten their day!

Eastern Palace

The Eastern Palace suite of product is amazing!  It is so versatile and elegant.  

Here is a card using the premier bundle.

Supplies:

Measurements: 

•      Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock:  4-1/4" x 11" score at 5-1/2"                 

•      Very Vanilla: 4" x 5-1/4" and 4" x 4" and 1-1/4" x 4-3/4" and 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" for die cut

•      Eastern Palace DSP: 2-1/2" x 3-3/4"

•      Gold Foil Sheet 1-1/2" x 5" and 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" for diecut circle

•      1/4" Gold Natural Trim: 5"

Instructions:

•      Rub the Embossing Buddy over the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to remove the static from the paper.

•      Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark ink. 

•      Sprinkle Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder over the stamped image. 

•      Pour off excess powder and heat emboss with the Heat Tool.

•      Attach 1-1/4" x 3-3/4" Very Vanilla to the 1-1/2" x 5" Gold Foil and attach to the 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla with Snail Adhesive

•      Attached gold print DSP with Stampin' Dimensionals

•      Wrap the 1/4" Natural Gold Trim over the previous layers and secure to the back side with adhesive

•      Attach this layered piece to the front panel of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals

•      Cut out 2-3/8" circle from Gold Foil Sheet using the Layering Circle Framelits.  Attach to card front with Snail adhesive

•      Cut out the Medallion with the Eastern Medallion Thinlits

•      Attach small Eastern Gold Vinyl Sticker to the center of the medallion.

•      With your finger tips, pull up the inside petals of the medallion to give depth and attach to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals
